The Portlaoise Interagency Committee consists of The BLOCK Project, Laois Community Forum, An Garda Síochana, Laois County Council, Laois Partnership, Laois VEC, Laois G.A.A, Foróige, Youthwork Ireland and Laois Sports Partnership.

Minister Barry Andrews T.D., Minister for Children and Youth Affairs welcomes the Trick ‘R Street Festival. The Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs (OMCYA) has designated October 25th -31st 2010 as National Recreation Week 2010 to promote the importance of recreation for young people. The OMCYA invited Local Authorities to organise an even to promote the National Recreation Week 2010.

Minister Andrews congratulates the Portlaoise Halloween Interagency Committee for organising the Trick ‘R Street Festival to highlight the importance of recreation for the young people of County Laois. The Festival has already demonstrated the power of local people and organisations working together for the common good. The Festival will create a positive attitude towards young people.
